Keeping Your Mower In Good Condition
Does your lawn mower need a spring bath? There are several "to do" items that will keep your mower in squeaky-clean condition. Wash the mower and check for loose hardware. Brush clippings off the engine. Use something stiff such as a putty knife to scrape old grass from under the mower deck. And while you're at it, make sure all safety systems are in place and working. Put in fresh gasoline as old gas starts breaking down after about 30 days and can clog the carburetor. Drain the old, gunky crankcase oil; replace with fresh, clean oil. And there's more items to do – just read the operator's manual for recommended spring-maintenance tips.
